Penis spots/pimples

what are they?
If you find little white spots around the base of the head of your penis that look like acne you may be alarmed but don't panic. First of all, see your GP so they can be checked out and given a proper diagnosis. Secondly, don't try and pick them. Not only will this hurt, but it may also allow infection to get in. These spots are likely to be cysts. As with other parts of the body, the penis has sebaceous glands that secrete liquid. If they become blocked, a cyst appears because the gland continues to produce liquid that can't escape. Most men get them at some time in their life. Some get one or two; others get more, which can completely encircle the area beneath the head of the penis and look very similar to acne whiteheads. They may come and go, or they may remain forever, causing no problem other than worry. Thrush can look similar and, often, men don't use medication long enough to clear it up. Genital warts look like miniature cauliflower heads, and need to be treated. A doctor will confirm the diagnosis, provide any necessary treatment, and put your mind at ease.
